A SIMPLE SUGGESTION FOR GOD
I woke up the other day with a couple of aches and pains that Grace attributed to my getting old. "Is this what I have to look forward to?" I wondered. That's when it dawned on me the good Lord might have gotten this whole aging and death thing a little messed up. So I have a small suggestion for the Creator: Anti-Time. Wait. Hear me out.
In anti-time, our loved ones gather and dig us out of the ground, bringing us home to love and nurture us while we're still too old and feeble. We need less care as we grow younger, and stronger. Parenting becomes a snap as we've already acquired the wisdom that comes with age.
As time moves (backward) work and eventually school are enjoyable. With what I know now, I could probably get into Harvard.
Nearing the end, we get to the most enjoyable time of life: childhood. No blue states, no red states, no monetary woes. Just play time day in and day out. Eventually, in a final burst of love, we end up back in our mothers' wombs, where life is safe and uncomplicated. All the concerns of the outside world remain just that: outside. No crazy people flying into our buildings trying to kill us. Nothing.
Just a simple idea for your consideration, God.
